The World Health Organization designated 31 May as World No Tobacco Day every year. To echo the World No Tobacco Day, Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health (COSH) has launched a publicity programme with the theme of ‘Breathe In. Tobacco Out’ promoting the benefits of deep breathing and a smoke-free lifestyle. The programme aims to remind the mass public to take a deep breath everyday and encourage smokers to say NO to all forms of tobacco products for a healthy lifestyle. Mass public can support through pledging at this website, as well as to share stress relieving tips with friends and family and design a personalized smoke-free pinwheel to spread smoke-free messages.

While fighting against COVID-19 in the past few months, all people become more aware of their physical and mental health. Although sources of stress may not be under control, there are always various ways to cope with stress in daily life. Some people might have mistaken smoking as one of the way, however, the first cigarette follows by nicotine addiction and an increasing risk of fatal diseases afterwards.
