6th Cross Strait Conference

To facilitate effective tobacco control in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, Chinese Association on Tobacco Control, John Tung Foundation, COSH and Macau Smoking Abstention and Good Health Association conduct regular Cross-Strait Conference. 6th Cross-Strait Conference has been taken place in Nanjing with 200 delegates from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau to share the success and experience towards tobacco-control.

Dr. Lam Ping-yan, former Director of Health was awarded for his contribution in promoting tobacco control, especially in the areas of promoting smoking cessation and advocating for smoke-free legislations in the past years. In the closing ceremony, Ms Lisa LAU represented COSH in receiving the conference seal for organizer from Ms Xu Gui-hua, Chinese Association on Tobacco Control, delivered a speech to dedicate gratitude to the organizer, co-organizers as well as other guests. In addition, Ms LAU invited all participants to visit Hong Kong for its 7th Conference to be held in 2014.
